Futures Arise
Thank you for supporting us at our very first fundraiser!
This 1980's themed evening featuring live music, silent & live auctions, and delicious dinner & drinks. All your support goes towards our after-school activities and community programs.
Over 150 people showed up in support of local kids and teenagers on April 23rd, 2026, for our Futures Arise fundraiser with Hearts Respond!
Our guests enjoyed an 80's themed evening filled with friendly faces, live music, delicious food, and lively auctions, knowing that their support benefits programs that break down barriers for economically disadvantaged South Bay & LA Harbor youth, helping them discover passion and purpose.

As guests entered, they encountered the display of silent auction items, all ranging from legendary sports memorabilia, to fun family experiences, and even some vibrant luxury goods. We are so grateful for the wonderful items donated to us from local businesses and corporations bigger than us; their generosity made our collection appealing to a great audience.
Freedom4U and Hearts Respond would not exist without the community, and we awarded our outstanding members, recognizing their contributions to our programs. Our most prominent program for afterschool tutoring is giving rise to our future leaders, as teens volunteer their time to help younger kids with supplementary homework help and enriching arts-and-crafts activities. For his lasting impact in the San Pedro football scene, we awarded Coach Mike Walsh with the Coach George Allen Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring him for 25 years as head coach. Point Fermin Elementary School Principal Jennie Wong also received the Excellence in Education Award for her great academic contributions to our programs.
